EUDR: what this means for bamboo-based pulp and paper
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) applies to “relevant products” listed in Annex I when they contain or are made using the listed “relevant commodities” (including wood). For pulp and paper (Chapters 47 and 48), Annex I explicitly includes an exception for bamboo-based products. This makes bamboo-based pulp and paper a more straightforward option in EUDR discussions, especially compared with wood-based pulp and paper supply chains.
